Common questions
Does Connect Space use AI?
Yes. Connect Space includes an AI assistant built into the planner workspace, along with AI-assisted tools for building event pages and reports. It works alongside your team; it does not replace the people running your events.
What does the AI assistant do?
It answers questions about your events using your team's real data, drafts content like event pages, emails and reports for your review, and takes you to the right screen to get things done. Think of it as a staff member who has read every page of your event.
What technology powers it?
Connect Space builds on Claude, the family of models from Anthropic, through Anthropic's commercial API. We do not develop our own large language models.
Is our data used to train AI models?
No. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through the API is not used to train models. Connect Space does not use your data to train models either.
What data can the AI see?
Only your team's own data, with the same permissions as the signed-in team member using it. It cannot see other teams' events, and attendee data never leaves the scope your team already manages in Connect Space.
Is a human always in control?
Yes. Drafts are reviewed by your team before they go anywhere, emails composed with the assistant are scheduled with a review window rather than sent instantly, and approvals, like issuing certificates or accepting registrations, are always actions a person takes.
Does the AI make automated decisions about attendees?
No. Matchmaking selections, application vetting, credit approvals and certificate approvals are made by people: your team and your attendees.
Can we control usage and cost?
Yes. AI features are enabled per team, and every team has usage limits and a monthly cost cap, so usage cannot run away.
Can we opt out entirely?
Yes. AI features are optional. Teams that do not want them simply do not enable them, and nothing else in the platform depends on them.
Where are AI conversations stored?
In your Connect Space account, like the rest of your team's data. Your team can review its own conversation history at any time.
